Gowns, jewellery nicked from wedding exhibit

Two exhibitors were outraged to find that some of their stock had disappeared on Friday night.

Lindi Maleke of Lindi M Creations said she left the venue at 7pm on Friday and was assured that her stock was secure, with two security guards on site. She discovered the theft yesterday morning.

"I worked hard to design these wedding gowns, spending days to make sure that they met a high standard. but now they are gone, just like that," Maleke said.

Debbie Smith, of fifth Avenue Creations, said that she was devastated by the theft.

"My stall was locked and they broke into it by smashing the glass and locks." She said she had spent the last of her savings for the event.

Both said they were disappointed that the organisers said that there was nothing they could do.

The head of CEO Event Management security company, Ewoud Botha, said the matter had been reported to the police.

Soweto police spokesman Lindiwe Mbatha confirmed that a case of theft has been opened.

She's been riding horses for decades, but when it comes to elephants it seems Katie Price is less than keen.

During the latest episode of ITV2's Katie and Alex: Better or Worse, the 32-year-old is seen panicking as she and husband Alex Reid go elephant trekking during their honeymoon in Thailand.

‘I'm not doing this. I just don't feel safe,' she says, while Alex jokes,' What's the worse that can happen. you can fall off and break your neck.'

The mother of three eventually relaxes, but is caught off guard when a passerby shouts, 'There's Jordan and Pete!'

'They've obviously been in Thailand a long time,' she remarks.

At the start of their honeymoon the mother of three suggests that they renew their vows every year, but Alex, 34, is against the idea.

‘We have so much drama, it would be nice to solidify our love every year,' she says.

However her new husband brands the suggestion ‘too stressful.'

The couple then attempt to blend in with other travellers as they spent an evening in Bangkok, but this proves impossible and fellow tourists recognise them immediately.

‘I'm on holiday like everyone else,' she exclaims as passersby attempt to take pictures of her.

But she quickly cheers up when she and husband Alex enjoy an authentic Thai foot massage.

‘It's nice that we can walk around...there are the odd few people that recognise us but if you keep walking, then it's not so bad.

‘I'mhaving fun. I feel like I'm backpacking...I've brought no make-up withme, just shorts and T-shirts and that's the way too chill-lax.'

Their holiday takes on a sour note when Katie spots a member of thepaparazzi attempting to take pictures of her during a trip to nearbyisland Koh Phan Gang.

Despite building a career on selling footage and images of her lifeto glossy magazines and reality shows, Katie objects to photographerstaking her picture and ‘making money off her.'

‘How could theyknow we're here?' she complains. ‘I can't even have a holiday withoutthem trying to make money. Well it's stupid, they know we're here now.

'They know we're in Thailand. It's not hard to find us, so basically our trip's ruined. If I see a camera I'm going home.'

Katie becomes even angrier when she returns to the hotel to discover that there is a man with a camera nearby.

‘It's intrusion. It's private,' she says.

'However the‘paparazzi' photographer turns out to a tourist taking holiday snapsand they are able to resume the rest of their honeymoon with fewinterruptions.

She really is as thick as 2 short planks - she does not get the irony of saying 'I feel like I'm backpacking' and then going to a 5 star hotel!!! Seriously, this woman is dumb - I'm sorry for the husband, she wants to have a fiasco of a ceremony every year - just so that she can keep in the public eye - shallow.

Katie is going from strenghth to strenghth despite being knocked repeatedly by "the other side ".
I love Katie and Alex and I think they are more suited than when Katie was with Peter Andre.
I would like to see this marriage last and go on to be a very happy couple.

I can't believe she has the audacity to sit there and say, ' I don't want to be photographed, I'm on holiday, I want to relax blah, blah, blah' when there's a great camera in her face recording her saying that and following her every move.

The only reason she's got fame and wealth is because people take her picture and publish them in the magazines/papers, otherwise no-one would know who she is. She can't pick and choose when she gets papped......silly, silly woman.
