North Andover woman loses ring, finds another
NORTH ANDOVER -- The saying goes: what goes around comes around.
One Bay State woman is hoping that statement rings true.
She lost a ring last week, and while looking for it, she found someone else's.
Lisa Stump, 39, a wife and mother of three, is making a plea for the return of her engagement ring.
She lost it back in December in the parking lot of the North Andover Market Basket.
A couple of weeks ago, she went back to the store to try to find the ring and couldn't believe what she saw on the ground.
"I park, I get out of the car...right in front of the car, in the mud, perfect, sparkling clean engagement ring," Stump said.
Unfortunately, it was not her ring.
While she was disappointed, she said she was excited at the prospect of being able to help someone else.
"I immediately went home, got on Craigslist, called the newspaper to see if anybody placed an ad, called all the police departments to see if they had any reports of missing engagement rings," Stump said.
This isn't Lisa's first experience with missing rings.
Two years ago, her wedding band fell out of her pocket in her backyard.
Fortunately, a good Samaritan volunteered her time and metal detector and found the ring.
As for her current situation, Lisa said she has faith things will work out once again.
