Crime Stoppers seeks information on jewelry theft
The board of directors of the Cowley County Crime Stoppers inc. has approved the following for Crime of the Month, January 2010.
Sometime between Oct. 12 and Oct. 30, person(s) unknown committed a burglary and theft from a residence located in the 29000 block of 91st road in Parkerfield. Entry into the home was made when the suspect(s) kicked in the back door to the garage. Once inside the home, the suspect(s) removed over $11,000 in jewelry from a nightstand and a dresser in the bedroom. Some of the jewelry stolen included a ladies Hamilton wrist watch 14kwg with 36 one-carat diamonds, a Jostens ladies Arkansas City High School class ring of 1969, a 14k gold Jostens men's Arkansas City High School class ring with the initials "ETC," a 14k white gold Jostens Winfield High School class ring with the initials "AH," a one-third carat diamond solitaire engagement ring with 14k yellow gold band and white gold prongs, a ladies wedding ring set with six rubies and one diamond, a #1 Mom necklace with 14k gold chain and antique silver necklace with matching pink flower earrings.
The Cowley County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance from anyone who may have information about this crime.
