What do you do if you're invited to a fancy affair where you're going to really have to dress up? and we're not talking about putting on that "bling bling" abaya that you've worn to every other shindig.

We're talking about really getting fancy. so put that pantsuit away, that's cheating!

Hijabis if you don't have access to clothing companies that make special dresses for you, keep reading!

We're aware there are dress makers in places like Turkey and Egypt who cater to hijabis but it's not realistic for those with limited access to those countries.

Hijabi's definitely have a hard time finding formal clothing that will actually pair nicely with hijab.

Many outfits are either way too tight or the neckline is cut so low that there's no point in trying to cover up your cleavage because it will require so much work and you'll look like you drowned in material.

When you're looking for something that's going to require very little maintenance and still look spectacular, what do you do?

Hijabtrendz went on the hunt recently and here is what we came up with.

If you know in advance of your event and you have time, then try to find a seamstress who can make you a custom outfit.

Or find a style you like and see if anyone is willing to make you a modified version of it.

The easiest route may be to get the outfit you like and see if there is anyone who can add sleeves onto it or make a jacket for it.

There are so many ways you can customize a regular dress (even if it's low cut and sleevless!), but it's going to take creativity, patience and some determination to make it work for you.
